Standing Spray

Standing sprays are arrangements designed on a free standing easel. These large arrangements are best for traditional funeral services as they will be shown both during the funeral service and at the graveside. Standing sprays are typically in a full, oblong shape but can also be in the form of a round wreath, heart, cross, or other specially shape. Standing sprays can be made with fresh or artificial flowers. 

Plants and Dish Gardens

Plants and dish gardens are another common sympathy gift and are a wonderful item that can be kept in memoriam of the deceased. Peace lily plants are a common, low maintenance option for a sympathy gift. Dish gardens are ceramic or metal containers that contain a variety of different plants which have all been chosen to be low maintenance and thrive in a variety of locations. Dish gardens can also be dressed up with additional fresh cut flowers, ribbons, and other accents to add color and personality.   

Cremation Services

 

For cremation services, the family may opt to place flowers around or beside the ashes. Since there isn't typically a graveside service with cremations, flower arrangements placed in vases, wicker baskets, or urn style vessels are more common and practical for cremation memorials.
